OBA Questions
I've been researching OBA threads and posts for a couple hours now. I've seen some expensive set-ups, some cheap, and some set-ups utilizing the A/C compressor, some with a separate compressor. I want to run mine off the A/C compressor.
Through all the threads I looked through, I'm still a little confused about a few things and need others answered. (Or, you could just, please, direct to me a thread you know of that has all the answers already.)
I know I have to (and if not, want to) put a regulator (?) inline to the tank to keep the compression between to certain pressures (such as 95-105).
1. I know some, maybe all, OBA systems have an on/off switch. The switch makes sense to me in the case that you have a separate compressor and are not using your A/C compressor. But, in the case that you are using the A/C compressor, how do you control it? (I guess, I should ask how, if at all, is the A/C compressor controlled? Do the A/C controls on the dash control the compressor, and therefore the OBA if it's set up that way? And if that is so, does it waste gas to run the compressor, just as it does to run the A/C?
2. How to I route everything and hook it up? I want to have the air obviously going to the air tank, but I also want to have two quick connect hose connections set up, one in front, one in back.
Thanks everyone.
