no fire need help

I have a 1995 4runner 3.0 v6 I did a hg job and when I went to start it I had no fire . The coil and coil igniter are good I had them checked . I bought a remanufactured distributor and I still have no fire so then I checked all the wires leading to the coil and igniter and the distributor and they all have juice going to them. Any sugestions?????

Have you checked the big 80-amp fuse in the fuse block on the passenger side fender under the hood? If blown, don't try to pull it; you have to remove the entire fuse panel from the fender & remove the bolt that holds the fuse in from underneath.

Did you do the HG yourself?

Does the 80 amp fuse look like this:

That one is burned out.

Did you use the FSM to put the engine back together?

Well I unhooked the ground side of the battery . And when I hooked it back up it arched . I had everything off no doors were open to need energy from the battery , I've worked on this thing going on three months and I have never had these kind of complications on any vehicle . I'm clueless and ready to give up

So, just to get this straight (and some clarification may be needed), you are getting power from your coil to the distributor, but now power from the distributor out to your spark plugs??? If thats the case, maybe check your distributor and make sure its in time with the engine?? Give us some more info.

You will always get an arc when you connect either side of the battery to form a circuit.

FSM=Field Service Manual or OEM Toyota Manual. You can download one for a '93 truck/4runner online; google search it.

Is the distributor in time though??? Get ur engine to top dead center on #1 cylinder, then make sure your distributor is hitting on #1 cylinder spark plug wire.
