No clutch

I have just installed a new clutch pedal bracket and have everything back together other than the Torsion spring in the clutch and I have no clutch at all. I did not remove any lines from the clutch master cylinder and I am stumped on this. I have adjusted the rod on the pedal but I have no luck. Any help would be appriciated.

truck year and engine would be helpfull... because if its any kind of possibility the linkage could of got messed up some how... for example... the way i burnt the clutch on my very first wheeling trip (when i was driving a 90 chevy 1500) was because the rod that pushes the throw out bearing arm thingy.... damn i'm having a brain fart on the names of these parts.... but yea the rod that pushes the arm for the throw out bearing popped out of place... so i didn't get any "clutch" because there was no throw out bearing movement and thus i had to do the whole shift with no clutch to get home... was awesome... does that help at all?
