No CEL light?
Alright guys the other day my '94 runner wouldn't start again, probably because I unscrewed the two phillips screws on top of the air cleaner and I pulled the VAMF off. Well before that I had the CEL light on when I was driving and I knew it was something about the oil pressure sending unit(oil guage doest not work in cluster) so yesterday I wanted to get the codes and noticed that the diagnosis connecter had some grease and I sprayed some of that crc electronic connector cleaner and I put the paper clip into the correct terminals and turned the ignition key to the accessory and i get no CEL light codes? I know its probably not the bulb, because the CEL comes on when im driving. Thanks

First off, you're not checking for codes correctly. With diagnostic terminals E1 & TE1 jumped, turn the key to the 'on' position (engine off). The check engine light will either blink codes or it will blink two times per second if the ECU thinks everything is ok.
Second, is this an intermittent no-start issue or will it just not start period.

Answered in post #3.......Short pins E1 and TE1, then turn the key to ON.....NOT accessory. Count flashes-- if steady flashing 2 times per second, there are no stored codes.
If you removed the screws to the VAFM & pulled the wire out, you have FUBAR'd the VAFM.
