Hey y'all, new to the board and yota ownership. Got a 93 xcab 4x4 22re. Super stoked on it. I live out in Hawaii, so I've got some rust issues to deal with,but otherwise, the truck is pretty swell indeed. So out here we have to pass safety check, which means lights, brights, runners, blinkers horn and few few other pain in the butt things. No emissions though, so decent trade off, I guess. To get to the point, my brights don't work. When I switch the toggle to flash (forward) or on (back) same thing, lights just gone. I'm thinking it is the switch itself, but if anyone has had this happen, it would be awesome to hear about it.

Another small issue is lack of speedo and odometer, figuring it's the whole speedo circuit because neither of them work.

Sorry, unclear description of problem.

Normally, you pull the stalk back to flash (momentary).
Normally, you push the stalk forward when headlight switch is on to turn high-beam on and keep it on.
Please clarify.

Also, with headlights OFF, does pulling stalk back (momentary) flash the highs?

High beam filaments in both lamps burned out possibly???

​​​​​​Sorry, got that backwards. But no, with the lamps off flashing the brights does not work either. I followed the link in the previous post and the same problem was addressed by filing the contacts on the combo switch. Going to pull out the switch asap and check the connections

Welcome to the forum, BTW.

OK.

Your symptoms point more likely to this, though:
Do you have a multi-meter?
Before you do anything to the switch, check continuity of high beam filaments on both of your light bulbs.
