I've tried all kinds of fancy expensive plugs and none of them worked as well as the old, cheap factory spec Densos when clean and properly gapped. Denso wires likewise work better than aftermarket.

You will likely not do better than all stock denso on your ignition - it was one of the best engineered aspects of these engines. All the parts were designed to work together and they do, well.

I've used Stock Denso, NGK, Iridium....can't say I noticed ANY difference with any of them. The Iridiums will SUPPOSEDLY last longer. I'll let you know in another 100,000 miles... :-)

I have NGK TX50 wires, OEM cap and rotor, and NGK G-Powers. Honestly not much difference at all. Even with worn out G-Powers gapped at .040 there was nearly no difference.

i ran the irridiums.. dont do it.. they are expensive and my motor ran hotter. Why? because they supposedly generate a hotter spark. heat is a bad thing with the 3.0. especially with the week head gaskets. Not worth the money!

Plugs come in heat ranges and you have to get the proper heat range for your driving/engine. Perhaps you chose the wrong heat range...
