Newbie's first Toyota truck

hey y'all, looking to purchase my first Toyota Truck. its my second vehicle, it's a '88 extra cab originally from GA so the body is in incredible shape for being in MI for the past 8 years. no rust, but has a bit of fade and some oxidation. It has 167k miles on the original 22R, brand new all terrain tires, 4000lb winch, 5 speed, its really a great looking truck, but he wants $4,900. there are no accidents, all the body panels match and the decals are all original. is there anything i should be looking at to ensure im not missing anything, as i feel this is top dollar for the truck, but they are getting so hard to find. this one happens to be a mile from my house and i've looked at it for years thinking "i'd really like to have that truck one day".

any thoughts or opinions are appreciated.

thats about what i paid for my 88, 12 years ago.

repaint, rusty bed but only 88k when i bought it. it has 266k now, but i swapped engine recently. about 2k miles ago.

would not sell it for that now lol.

undercoat the bed, before it rusts.

if you could get some pics that would be great. It just seem's a little steep for that price.

the guy had it for sale this spring for a week, then took the sign out of the window and i just had a chance to talk to him yesterday. its bone stock, he has everything that came with the truck from the dealer. I know its a steep price, but i'm hoping it will pay off in time.

i'm going to drive it tomorrow and give it a thorough twice over, if all goes well, i'll pay him monday and post some pics early in the week.

Just saying, there's some sharp people here that if you had some good pic's before you purchase it, they might see something you don't. Was just wondering also what you mean "your hoping it will pay off in time."
