newb looking for help. 91 4runner lift to fit 40in tires
as the title says, im a newb, about to buy a 91 4runner and i want to build it up to fit 40 inch wheels. I've already reviewed my state DMV requirments for it to be street legal (as Im planning to use this as my DD) and i think i can get away with 40 inch wheels (53" to headlight, 28 inches to frame). So im hoping i can get some ideas on what kind of lift to get set up for. Im interested in the SOA build. I want some good flex while being as low as possible (and not rubbing). So im interested to know what leaves/shocks I might need? Also wana go dana 80 front n rear; Will I need custom drive shafts so they can reach? Id like to end up with something like the 4runner in this video but I have no idea where to begin:
ALSO - it looks like this dudes back wheels rub a little -? just a thought... Thats why I came to the pros
If anyone has any good reference links or blogs, I havent been able to find any specific to my topic.. Ill be doing the work myself!!! (Im good at working on cars, new to crawlers) Mainly need a comprehensive build guide or just help along the way for a 91 4runner / 40" tires / as much flex as possible without rubbing or being too tall. Thanks!

Not purposely trying to be a smarty pants but here's the condensed version: Take everything except the frame and body and throw it out. Now install the driveline of choice.
Sounds to me like you need to do a lot more reading and research before you undertake this. Its not going to be as simple as finding a guide and following it step for step.
