new shock absorbers & ZUK mod?

Planning to do a ZUK mod with 14" 125lb springs to fix the sagging rear end on my 88 4runner, and while bored last night started looking through the catalog on rockauto.com and found that the heavy duty rear shock absorbers are only 20 bucks for the pair. Now I'm wondering if its a good idea to replace the rear shock absorbers and how much of a task thats going to be (looks really simple) or if doing both is going to make my suspension feel like I'm rolling a boulder down the road.

Well, it's a simple swap on the shocks. A little corrosion can make it a little more difficult, but it's manageable. Can't tell you what the ride will be like though. If you're worried about it, start with just the springs and see what you've got from there. If the new springs have a higher spring rate your old shocks may be a bit out-gunned, and you may need a heavier duty shock.
