New bumper and such

OK, so I have had enough of the front of my 92 Xcab. So, I have ordered a new front bumper from Badlands Bumpers (lots of Kudos on this site), and am going to install a new trannie cooler and flood lights. Details and pics to follow...

...but FIRST...anyone know the size of the main bolts (8 of 'em) holding the bumper/bracket to the frame. Wanna get fresh ones, can't find in parts book, and stuck at work.

Thanks!

Ya know, I just went out and looked. I could only see 4 and I thought they were 17s but they didnt look that big. I think theyre 14s. But as far as thread pitch/diameter/length. I have no idea.

here's an ideal, pull one out and take it to a hardware store, they have a tool to check the size and pitch. this is no-brainer stuff here.

ALRIGHT....

14mm or 12mm down below

and 12mm on the sides near the fenders

btw... all body part bolts on your rig are either 10, 12, or 14mm aside from the special ones, but they are all metric

Yeah. The primary reason I was asking was a) I was away at work and b) some of the bolts (like the ones for the crossmembers) are the tapered guys and hard to find at most stores.

To "85excab," as we say here, no s**t Sherlock. Part of the reason for posts like this to make things easier for others, like "yota addict" above.

The bumper is done, at least "in theory" and should be in mail soon. Pics to follow. Will include front floods and new trannie cooler. In meantime, fixing the blown head gasket. WAAH

Ive had crappy luck trying to take bolts to hardware stores. Most of them go up to m8 then the threadpitch goes into corse. Most bolts are fine on toyotas no?
