Need Tie Rod Help
Well so far I have replaced the driver side tie rods. Now on the passanger side..... i have been beating the living hell out of the outer tie rod for the last 4+ hours. I have used a pickle fork with or without a sludge hammer, ball joint puller, liquid wrench, a propane torch, hammering from all sides, and this tie rod is not comming off. It seems to be frozen on the arm connecting the outer tie rod to the spindle (behind the brake assembly). any ideas before I convince someone to take me to the junkyard?

Put the nut back on and drive it to a nearby shop. Give a tech a 10 spot to hit it with his air hammer with pickle fork tip. Make sure he doesn't destroy your brake's backing plate. Change it as close to that spot as possible. The next parking lot over if not right there.

Wow really? I've had some tough tie rods in my day but have yet to be defeated by one. Use the air hammer with the pickle fork attatchment. If that doesn't work just hit it with your purse! Just kidding dude. Maybe try some heat and penetrating oil like pb blaster. Sometimes if they don't wanna move the heat thing works and sometimes it doesn't. Good luck.
