Need some tips for pullinga tranny

So i'm gonna be grabbing a used V6 man. tranny from a 1st gen 'runner that i'm gonna rebuild and stick in mine.

But since i have never pulled a tranny before, i was wondering if you folks have any tips or pointers for me to make the job a bit less of a PITA

thanks!

You should try running a search. There's a number of threads on it already. But, undoubtedly somebody who's feeling more informative than I am right now will chime in...

I coulda sworn there was a smile thingamajigger for RTFM

Edit: Okay well I aint feel like being THAT much of a dick lol.

Extra set of hands is very nice. Tranny jack makes the work oh so much easier. Speaking of RTFM'ing... Factory Service Manuals (FSM) intructions for removing the tranny.

All your other FSM needs

Edit x2: Read the stickies!

Edit x3: RTFS?

Heres a tip: Dont drop the tranny on yourself!

Do you have grab handles in your truck?
