need pics of herculined rockers

I just fixed some rust on my cab corner and shot some of that texturized rubber undercoat crap on there to keep the rust down till I get round to paint later this summer (once I'm done old school). I was thinking it'd look way better if the undercoat, instead of being one small patch, was covering the entire rocker.

Anyone have any pics of a truck done with herculiner or undercoat along the bottom edge but only up to the first bend in the door (about an inch or two above the door bottom)? I don't really like the looks of the trucks that have it halfway up to the door.

I'd rather leave the patch if it'll look goofy with the black stripe so I don't want to just go do it.. that stuff looks like it's a bitch to strip off.

This was my Tacoma, but it will give you a little bit of an idea. I put it on there after having to remove the front mudflaps. I went up higher than it sounds like you want to go.

I've got pics of my brother's colorado that he did herculiner rocker panels/first curve of fenders with- not as high as T4L. You don't really notice it on the rocker panels unless you're looking for it, and on the fenders its' maybe a 3-4 inch wide stripe. It isn't a yota, but I can post if you want anyway.

Sure, post 'em up, can't hurt, eh?

I think just gonna do it, worst case I live with it for bit and it adds some sanding when I paint. It's bound to look better than the door bottom rust either way

Good point on the prep work. I know that my bro did his on Oahu, and couldn't get his hands on xylene to prep with. I think he used mineral spirits instead, even used it here and there to thin the herculiner out a bit so it wouldn't dry too fast. Also helps that it was a week old truck.
