Need ECM diagram 89 22re 4x4 m/t

Trying to find diagram that labels the ECM pins on my 89 22re 4x4 M/T. Can't find a FSM for an 89 and the 93 FSM shows an ECM that is different than mine.

toyota often used different ecu's even with the same year (iirc, 2 or 3 on my 88 4Runner) and were even "plug" compatible, though wiring was in different locations.
though it may be possible to find your diagram, it could be difficult.
You can generally count on the wiring color codes to identify what a particular wire does though: grounds are typically brown, etc; just hard to know which b+ is which.

you may check around at sites like diyautotune.com or other aftermarket ecu sites.

What are the part numbers on your ECM? I had a an 89 4Runner (Gen 1) 22-re manual and I have the FSM and the wiring diagram manual. Your 89 pickup is the first year for the new body style, but if your ECM is the same part number as mine then the 4Runner pinouts will be the same as your pickup!

The label for the ecu has been removed and thier are no other markings I can see. Trying to find what ecu pin is for (Vs) so I can measure signal from VAM (air meter). Tried to trace wire by color from (Vs) pin on VAM, but thre are other brown w/black spot wires on ecu. I assumed brown w/blk spots would be ground, but that is what the diagram shows as (Vs) at VAM.

I checked on ToyoDIY.com and it lists this ECU 89661-35150 as being the ECU for a 89 4Runner, 89 truck and a 90 truck with a 22-re manual. So it just may be that the ECU pinouts for my 89 4runner are the same as your 89 pickup. So here is the pinout diagram.

thanks for the 411 hadmatt54.

I suggest tracing down each wire, if you can find the wiring color code and schematic to do so, to verify each labeled pin actually is what the diagram states meaning disconnect the plugs from the harness and sensor and verify it is connected to what's labeled. For instance, the 4WD pin responds to transfer case shifting into 4wd, THA is connected to the air temp sensor in the air flow meter, etc.

I'd hate to see someone fry an ecu for no particular reason.
