My turbo runner

Here are some pics of my new (older) 4runner. I did a straight trade for a 95 v6 4wd with a bhg and all rusted out. Its a 87 and has a rebuilt 22ret with the stock turbo. Ive done some smal mods including a walmart center console, with 4 cupholders!! haha. I also picked up a addicted offroad front bumper, Thanks Scotty! Also got some yellow h4 conversion housings and a 3000k hid kit, I also ordered some clear corners, yellow lamin-x and a black grill and headlight housings to complete the frontend look im going for. Still alot more to come, new paint is next. I plan to build a low and wide all around rig, not too extreme but can handle its own anywhere. Well here are pics in its current form

I dig that center console...do you have a part number or something? How did you install it?

I also like those yellow H4s what do you think of them? Specifically have you used them in any rain snow etc?

niiiceee....you're an EXTREMELY lucky man...first off..get that auto tranny out and throw a 5spd in..after that rethink you're suspension ideas

its not very easy to go WIDE on a truck without much lift..not when i say wide im thinking tires sticking out past the fenders a good 5inches on both sides..

low is easy..cut them fenders hahaha..honestly..i think that'd be a sweet rig with a 4in bracket lift and some 35x12.50's...or if ya wanna go low and wide..go with some 35x14.50's..hahahaha

change your gears for some 4.88's or 5.29's(your choice..only about a 300rpm difference at 70mph)

lock the front and rear..lots of armor..and you should be set

and i gotta ask...why the yellow H4's????

I plan on getting a total chaos Lt kit and Ivan fenders with either 33's or 35's so by low I mean no lift/stock height not slammed lol. Im getting it painted in a couple weeks its going to be all black. The reason for the yellow lights is just for looks, I'm kinda going for a rally look with the yellow h4's and clear corners with the yellow lamin-x. It'll all come together... I plan on sticking with the auto tranny and getting a manual shift kit. Stil got some time to think about suspention and whatnot while I'm saving up money, thinking about selling my 86 corolla to fund my new project as I've kinda lost interest in it. The console is like 30$ at walmart and is made for minivans. it doesnt fit that well and is very cheap I had to cut out the center storage to fit it over my rear heat and you cant fold down the rear seats, but hey I got cuphoders haha.

Did you keep the rear heat? What did you do with your old console? I need the part that the rear window switches pop into. If you would like to sell it, send me a PM.
I like the truck, and dig the low and wide look. There was a thread on here about a year ago about somebody doing that with an 85. He did alot of cutting, but the end result was pretty good.

Keep us posted, and send me a PM if you want to sell part of your old console.

Yes I kept the rear heat, the center console storage had to be cut to fit it and you have to remove the lever for the lubmbar support, the old console was trash and just about the only part I kept is the switch part which I am going to mount somewhere as soon as I come up with somewhere to put it. The headlights work very well in bad weather, Im actually in co. right now and have driven in the snow and its great with the 3000k's only problem is they need adjusting and the plastic adjusters are broken, so all my light is projected too low, on a good note Im not blinding anyone haha. Also I pieced together a intake for a whopping 15$ compared to the only other one for the 22ret which is a k$n at 170something... Spectre makes a maf adapter that will work with the 22re with some drilling I then used a 3in. spectre cone filter I got off a friend from his ricer phase lol. I will post up pics of it tomorrow.
