It cost me $500 to have both sides replated and boxed. Probably should have cost more, but the guy stuck to his estimate.
I need to get some after photos though, the guy who did it said he was gonna email me some cell phone pics he took while doing it, but they haven't showed up. I need to pressure wash it though as it's all mudded up again.

Yeah but I only got it for 600 bucks. Witch is what I paid for the Honda. So if I paid a guy to do it for 500 to 1000 then I'll still be ahead. Soo I think I got a good deal. The truck runs and drives like a champ.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek
i agree if you can figure out a way to un-redneck that truck for cheap you might be ahead. good luck. its a project, do everyone a favor and don't drive it until it's fixed because that is downright scary looking. i still think in parts you got a fairly good deal, because even if you cant fix the frame you can easily make over 600 by parting it out, if it comes to that. or find another frame and swap it over. frame off!!!

people on here have bought worse for more and were happy.
To be safe get it checked out and fixed right and it'll be better than new. Or find 2nd half of a good frame and just section it out.
600$ is a good deal and you got out of a car so I'd say you were ahead.

I wouldn't put anything heavy in the bed!
Even with the rust I'd say $600 is a pretty decent deal. We don't have rust issues where I'm from so a similar rig would have been $1500-2500 depending on mileage.
