My New 1994 4x4 Pickup

Here's some pics! I also have a few questions below if you guys can help me out!!

A few specs:
1994 Toyota Pick-Up 4x4
4cyl.- 5spd.
144,000 miles
3,500 on new head
Downey Ceramic headers
30" BFG's on Tacoma alloys
Keyless entry
LCE Electric fan

Some questions:

1) Intake...I need to get a stock one for CA emissions ASAP (I need to register it). Might just get one shipped overnight from DeathCougar. But I'll sell this one for whatever...I just need the stock stuff ASAP if anyone can help me.

2) It hits 3k RPM @ 70mph --- I can't really go much faster with feeling safe. Is this normal? I feel like there should be a 6th gear to go into!

3) How hard is it to get some bucket seats or an upgraded bench seat?

swweeeet truck!

seats: Craigslist or the boneyard, stock buckets should just bolt in. If you feel like doing some work, early 90's Acura Integra seats are very comfy. Mounts are pretty straightforward on those to mod.

I have a set of 95 Celica seats going into my '81 but the mounts will take a bit of work.

Clean truck...looks identical to my 92'. I'm looking for some stock wheels/tires like that and stock rear bumper, so if you are interested in selling them let me know. I'm in Torrance and visit La Jolla area semi-frequently so can pick up.

When you get the stock intake pipe, put it on to pass inspection, then put the one you have now back on. Who ever made that one did a nice job, so i wouldn`t sell it, and that set up flows better than stock.

Ok I'll keep it on there then. DC hooked me up with a stock intake! Woo!

I went in and disassembled the throttle body from the IAC to find out it was caked not only with blow-by gunk but what looks to be oil+water mixture from a blown head. The PO told me that it hadn't had a blown head gasket even though he had a new head put on  ...

Here's a pic. If the head was replaced with a new one (which I can tell its brand new, with water pump, etc) I dont think I need to worry much. What makes me wonder is why he'd lie about it to me.

sucks that people will lie just to make a sale....I was looking at a truck when I was station in alaska at a large lot...passenger side paint looked a little different...asked if it had been in an accident, they said nope, sure enough the door class did not have the toyota markings....

Parts--DC is the man

Thanks man I appreciate that tid bit of info. I had 22re in my 89 4Runner, but I didn't remember what RPM's it had on the hwy. So used to the 3.4L and BIG tires on my new 4runner...

Can anyone point me in the right direction onto how to find the part # for the idle control valve little rubber gasket shown in the pic above?

ANother weird thing...

When I hold down the brake pedal, it surges the idle. Weird... that just started. Vaccum leak from the brake booster?!?!? WTF!?

The surging can be cause by two things, the idle being to high, or the TPS being out of adjustment, try turning the idle down a little and see if the surging stops (easy fix). it would probably be a good idea to check the TPS to make sure its adjusted properly.

Well of course with my luck... CEL came on.

Codes: 22, 41, and 71... Yay! I am so excited. :/ Starting to do some research looks like I may have caused some problems with using throttle body cleaner down the intake?

Im starting to get really freaked out now, the more I read.

1) Where is the temp sensor located? (Code 22)

2) My coolant level is SUPER high... its coming up over the overflow tank

3) I'm freaking pissed.
