More fuel tank problems
Well, I had a lot of sludge and rust in my original fuel tank, so I went to the junkyard to get another. This one really doesn't have sludge, but still a lot of rust. I called a radiator shop to see how much it would cost to boil it out and seal it, which turned out to be $130. For that price I was thinking about getting a tank at Advance Auto, but I do not know the size.
I have an 86 4runner with 22re and I suppose its a delux. I know its not the sr5. Is there a standard size in it, or could it be wither the 14.9 or 17 gallon? I don't know the size b/c I bought it, had to get the head resurfaced and put a new gasket on so I never filled up the tank.
I'm thinking its a 14.8, but is this the only tank they would put in the delux? The 14.8 is only $170.
Also, has anyone just used Muratic Acid to clean it and not seal it, just go with it? Thanks for all the help.

I believe you have a 16 gallon tank, But at a parts store, its going to be around 250-400 for a tank, not to mention the fuel pump bracket...you can clean the tank yourself, do a quick search and theres more then 1 step by step walk throughs...
