miracle "auto" fixed itself (help +/or your story)
well, last week, overnight got 3.5 quarts of fuel into my oil pan, somehow.
replaced the
fuel/oil/air filters
fuel pump
cleaned the carb w/pb-blaster.
now, its all fine.
still wondering just how all that fuel got into the oil, and now its fine.
6 months ago, it bellowed blue smoke(thick cloud at work) after a 20 minute drive- turned it off, worked ten hours, then restarted fine. drove home. and the blue smoke stopped, all by itself. (no repair at all).
gas guage didnt work when i bought it, now, for whatever reason, it does.

i got one more..
this truck, has never been washed (and brushed down) since i bought it..
bought as a d.d. and well used.
i hosed it down, cleaned the windows..but never/ ever washed it (my friends girlfriend tried but it was too tall. while we fixed her brakes)...
point is...
the day it broke, was the day after i washed it (with soap) for the 1st time...
so, is that a coincidence.. i wonder
and yea,..
i feel sometimes the "force" is strong
i had a 81 datsun 210 that blew a head gasket/ lost all compression.
parked in in the dales of oregon,
went back 3 weeks later w/my g.f. and it started right up. drove it to seattle, and drove it for another year..sold it for what i paid for it too....
it didnt have a lot of power, but it rolled.

I have one accurance of a truck fixing itself so to speek. I had a built up 88 Isuzu Pickup that had a sticky exhaust valve; just had tones of carbon build up on it... well, one day it wouldn't hardly run at all and it stalled out on my twice... I got mad and fired it back up and just floored it... well, it was carburated with an aftermarket ignition on it, so it's just revved with no limiter to about 7k, floated the valves for a sec, when I let off the throttle I got a nice little popping and a back fire out of the straight-pipe exhaust, and after that it ran better than it ever did before! Pulled hard as hell afterwards... never underestimate the power high RPMs... they work miracles...

I had a Dodge Durango that had a transmission I thought was going bad - slipping for a month or two, hard to get it moving at all. I changed the fluid, filter, and checked all the solenoids, all were fine. Transmission was just dying. It was behind a big V8 that I had breathed on a little, and the transmissions were already notoriously weak with stock power, so I just figured I had a tranny going out. Whatever, I will get it built strong and put a shift kit in it, and be done with it.
The truck sat for about two weeks, and I started it to try and limp it to the gas station, and it ran perfectly. Shifted firm, never slipped, basically acted like a new transmission.
I drove it for another 50k miles, and then sold it. Never had a lick of trouble out of it again.
