messed with distrubutor...2 new problems
so i asjusted my distributor a little bit and 2 problems came up: the idle surge while braking and now i have a bad rattle (probably timing chain)
question1: will asjusting the distributor mess up TPS adjustments?
question2: will adjusting the dis. have any affects on the timing chain that would cause it to rattle?

Adjusting the timing could affect the rpms, which may cause the idle to fluctuate when on the brakes if the rpm's are too high.
It won't affect the TPS since you didn't mess with the TPS when moving the distributor... did you?
Different RPM's could cause a resonant or harmonic vibration in the chain and cause it to slap around a bit.
Here's a "thought" if the chain didn't 'slap' or vibrate, it wouldn't ever hit the guide (you wouldn't even need the guide for that matter) and you'd never break it.
