You can get the pads out but I dont think the bottom comes out without a grinder. lol. Its welded in, and I dont know if its structural at all. I have seen a truck somewhere with it removed, I dont know if youd have to brace the cab after cutting it out though. I'm sure someone on here has a better answer. lol.

Ya, I just want the pads out. Just the seat pads... My sub points backwards, and I like the way the back pad absorbs the sound. Makes it hit a bit harder, too..

Well, I dont have one to look at anymore but I would imagine you could just pop the little plastic covers off the pivoting arms that hold the bottom pad in place, and there would be some bolts somewhere near there to remove. Sometimes you just gotta figure stuff out yourself.

Also, Just curious. What kind of system you running? HU, Speakers, Subs?

You pretty much have to take all the plastic trim out of the back (including the sides if I remember right), then you finally get to the bolts that hold them in place.

I've used Jensen before to get by with cheapness. lol. I Put a Kenwood HU and Sony X-plod 10" in my dad's Tundra, he loves it, just enough bass for him. I'm also putting 2 Alpine 12" and a 500rms watt amp in my mom's Camry for me when I drive it because I cant fit it in the "82. lol. Might have to make a switch for her to shut 'em off though. lol.

anybody else ever tried a home subwoofer "cube" plugged into a power invertor. I've got a 150 W invertor that was enough to run my old Yamaha sub (whole thing with the internal amp was rated at 42 watts) I had from my home stereo. It Beat the living snot outta my Daytona and you could hear it over a half block away with the windows rolled up...
