marlin crawler rear bumper question
On a 2nd gen 4runner does it bolt to the frame? Is there holes there already that you do it to if so? Does anybody have any pictures of where it mounts too?

The stock bumper mounts to the body. If you have a hitch, thats where the marlin bumper mounts.
Look at the back/side of the frame rails. You should see a hole on the outer side near the end. This is where the inner mount goes, and then there is one more just behind that (towards the back).
I installed one in my girlfriends 95 runner. Mine was a little tweaked so install was a major pain.

does anybody have any pictures of it mounted to the frame? Also does it come with hardware to bolt on? Because the old bolts are definitely going to need to be replaced.

The bumper requires no cutting on the 4runners. Had to cut channels on my pickup though.
Bumper comes with all the hardware you need.
The rear hitch should be fine, use a nice long breaker bar. If they snap they snap.. I removed the hitch and stock bumper, all the bolts where very rusty. But they are strong bolts so I doubt you will snap them..
Look where your hitch mounts, thats where the bumper mounts. Exactly the same way...

well if an impact gun does not work i go to the breaker bar...then the breaker bar with a 3foot poll...then the grinder comes out and the bolt gets it head ground off...it comes out after that

couple questions... Did you use an impact gun to get the bolts off? I don't feel like I could get one in that area and use it. And for the grinding the head off... if I just cut the head of the bolt off, and grind the rest, can I just hammer the remaining threaded section of the bolt and nut out?

Here is a question for MC rear bumper owners, do you think the MC bumper would be worth it or should i save the extra few hundred and get a Big Country Customs bumper? Cause i am about to order my headers, so the bumper is the next item on the to buy list.
