Manual Transmission Removal Question
On my '84 xtra cab I remove the crossmember and tilt the manual transmission down at the tail until I can get a straight shot at the bolts at the top of the bellhousing (bellhousing to engine). I use a 30", 1/2" extension to reach them. It's easy! Can I use this method with the 5 spd in my '93, 3.0 V6?

I just didn't know if the 3.0 3VZE V6 would tilt back like the 22RE. I always like to ask people with experience before I do something new like this. I'm gonna get experience pretty quick though, because I have two trucks with 3VZE engines that need rebuilding.

i loosened the motor mounts on my 1st gen, should be the same idea with yours, just loosen em up, put a jack under the trans, unbolt cross member and lower the jack, i use the B.A. extension too, no sweat. grease maybe a bloody knuckle and some grit in your eye, but no sweat at all, lol.
