I'm doing the cruiser coil lift so should i order the LSPV bracket for 3 inch or 4 inch?

I'm cheap. When I put the lift on my runner, I got some of the perforated steel from Home Depot, cut it into 6" pieces which I stacked three together then cut it to look like this:

cost me about 5 bucks including gas to the depot and is adjustable.

it depends, the cruiser coils off an 93 gave me about 3.5 inchs of lift , i think. I didn't even put one on mine.

You'd be amazed at the loss of breaking power with only 1" of lift. I would rig one up..

is this basically the same bracket i need to make? This is a 1st gen 4runner right? Is the LSPV in the same spot?

this is a 1st gen runner. the bracket is the same as my 91 truck (same as 2nd gen runner, save for the coil springs)

its in the same spot on all models.

Get or make a 4" bracket. More is better than less. You can always adjust it on the arm itself.

Say the lift gave 3.5" Would it make a difference if the bracket was 4" ?

Okay i finally ended up bungy cording mine up for now. Yes it absolutely stops better.

My '90 was/is located in the same location. I'd go with the 4". I sized mine to my exact lift, and I don't think it was enough. I'd go over.

Not only stopping power, I noticed that the truck stopped pitching forward when stopping. Felt more driveable.

I think I'm going to get a little piece of metal at B&C and drill holes in it.. or find a piece that has holes already drilled.

Gosh, that piece is so common and I would think that even my little hardware store where I live would at least have a piece of metal that would work for the ispv but they don't. The closest thing would be a door hinge that they have.
Ugh.. that's what happens when you live in a small town. lol.

I'm probably going to get one fabbed at a local metal fab shop. Or just have them give me some scrap pieces of metal.

i just zip tied mine up to the underbody...stops great and never had any problems, been driving like that for 2 yrs now

haha ^ x2... got sick of it so i ened up just cutting the arm off it and zip tied it up.. really helps the 35s stop

simple, find something under the truck, take a zip tie or bungee cord and hang it up there
