loud clunking mid-frame

It's snowing outside, and just last night my truck started clunking really loud over rough bumps. It sounds like something hitting the back of the cab. Sounds like it's coming from between the bed and cab down the center.

I looked under the truck and in the bed and in the cab and nothing is loose. Nothing is banging against anything (that I can see). There is some ice building that looks like it will fall off if anything hit it, but other than that I cant see anything.

Any ideas on what could be banging around back/under there like that? I'm worried it might be the drive shaft or something essential.

The only thing I have had like that was a broken upper shock mount that beat the crap out of everything when I hit bumps.

Did that sound like it was coming from mid-frame: Right in the middle of the truck?

I checked the shocks and they are all iced over. leaf springs have ice in between and are frozen. I tried parking the truck on the streetside to thaw, but the plows made it so I couldnt park without sitting in a mountain of snow. so it's thawing now and i'll look at it at lunchtime.

BTW, i'm in colorad and we just got the worst snow of this year. it's also some of the only snow we've had this year. it wasnt too bad, everyone was hyping it to be way worse. so if you hear about it on the news, don't listen. it's hype.
