Looking into buying a "Performance" 22RE on Seattle CL...

He claims 150 HP, which I am skeptical about. Has anyone dealt with this guy?

Let me know, please.

Alex

I doubt it unless he wants some good money for it, I'd still doubt it, maybe you should swap a 3rz?

It's around $3,000 installed. I don't have time to swap anything, I just need a 22re.

I would think he would be doing a sub-par job for a built 22re installed for that price

You think? It's also covered by a lifetime warranty.

I just got off the phone with him.

He said that for $2,000 installed he would do just the basic 22re. Any LC Engineering parts I wanted installed on it would just be added to that, at cost of parts.

I don't know, it really seems pretty legit to me. I am going to talk to my wife and hope someone on here has done business with him before and can give me some insight.

What's up Alex?

A guy at work has talked to him ( he was going to buy a rig that this guy did the motor) So he drove up to Bonney Lake to check out his operation. My coworker had good things to say about this guy, but he didn't end up buying the rig (his son got in trouble), so I have no idea about the quality of his work. It would be worth heading up the hill to check him out.

Unless you get everything in writing and are moderately certain that the business is going to be around for the life of your engine I say no go.

Don't know how good his work is but he has been posting on CR for a while at least for a year or more.

Chris,
His name is Dwane.....

Pennae,
I was thinking the same thing, really. There is a company in Oregon that has been around since the 80's that I would rather go with, but it's quite a drive/tow for any problems.

Alright, thanks. I am going to get this all done on the week of the 17th... Hopefully I can find some people to vouch for him or shoot him down before then.

I would much rather go through him than travel to Sandy, OR.
