Looking for a 2nd gen front skirt

I have a 95 4-runner that had some minor front end damage and have been trying to straighten out the skirt so the grill will fit right, but I think it might be easier to just replace it. Any body got one from a partout vehicle? Most of the junkyards out here in So Cal. are not pick-a-part, so getting ahold of one that wasnt trashed during removal might be difficult. As far as attaching at the factory spotweld locations, any body have any ideas on the best way to do this? Also, what type of siicone/adhesive/sealant is used at the front of the inner fenderwell to front skirt? would it be ok to just put tacks about an inch apart and then seal with a good silicone?

Do you mean the valence? The prices aren't too bad for a non-OEM new valence. When I'm offroad, I play smack-the-valence a lot, I think most people do, so used ones are usually in rough shape.

No, not the valence. The skirt. It is the part of the body that the radiator and headlights bolt up to. It also is where the front bodymounts are attached to the front of the frame.

Ohhh.. I know what your talking about . The large stamped steel piece, from fender to fender, with the upper rad support built in.

Drop into a bodyshop and ask who they're dealing with for replacement panels. Explain what you're doing & they should help you out, if not order it for ya. Even if they mark it up 20%, it's likely that it'll be cheaper as they get the 'jobber' rate vs. Joe Nobody's over-the-counter price. As for a used piece you could certainly call a few yards, but the effort to remove it might be prohibitive cost-wise.

Spot welds, 2-3" apart, along with silicone will work fine. Don't overheat your welds, and tack evenly from the center out.

Thanks for your help Noltz. I did find some aftermarket parts online. They are calling the entire stamped piece the radiator support. Best I can find is 235.00 plus 100.00 shipping. I will try your suggestion first.
