Look what I had to build/make/construct/fabricate!
So I took my 4Runner to Discount Tire the other day to have a rebalance & rotation, and puncture repair done. I noticed there was some type of fluid leaking around the left rear brake drum and backer plate, which ended up being gear oil. Well long story short, it ended up taking me working over a 3 day period, multiple parts store runs, replacing both sides brake shoes, wheel bearings and seals, 1 wheel cylinder and having to build a special tool to get the job done. Be aware, if your Toyota has an axle like in a 1995 4Runner and you are going to replace axle bearings and seals DIY, you will need one of these special tools and a press to get the job done.
I had to build this, its my take on Toyota's special service tool for replacing axle bearings. Good thing I'm on Govt furlough, it gave me plenty of time to work.
