so I after I get his lift installed (yes I am doing myself) and get 33x12.50 on 15's, next will be lockers.

Rear-I want to do a yota e locker. I had a lock-rite in the back of my nissan frontier and did not like it on the street, it jerked around way to much.

Front- what are my opitions for the front? Does lock-rite make one? And if they do, I would not "feel it" inless I was in 4wd right?

anybody know what works and what doesn't?

what year is your 4runner? arb makes an air locker for the ifs front diffs

What kind of wheeling do you do? Front auto-lockers tend to make steering quite difficult. The best option would be a limited slip or an arb. E-locker is the way to go for the rear, I love my lockright, but as soon as I get enough cash, an e-locker is going in!

I run an auto locker up front, don't beleive that hard steering thing. Like all modifications there's pros and cons. IE I wont do over 30 to 40 mph in the snow at best. Slick mud the front doesn't seem to grab enough to break the front and subsequentlly (sp) rear locker free and pushes straight.

If you try to turn the front wheels at a stand still yeah its hard to turn, like no power steering.

An ARB is the best choice but an auto locker trumps open difs any day.

This is my 0.02 and I enjoy driving on the road with my loc-rite rear.

I wheel on the weekends in the desert, mostly rocks and sand. I really want to do the e locker in the rear. Who makes a lsd for the front?

no body throw their oils cans at me for asking this....but what is the E-Locker? I have the button to activate it. I don't off road but once this year, may not use this rig for much off roading at all. I do want to lift it 2-3 inches though. If I lift it will this effect the E-Locker system??

the e-locker locks the rear differential so that both rear wheels spin at the same speed, lifting it would not effect it

if you have ifs up front and lsd would be the way to go. ive heard the 7.5 in. front ifs diffs. dont hold up to full lockers to well. plus with lsd if will put less stress on your steering. auburn locker makes a good lsd from what i hear.

and E-locker stand for electronic locker.

Dude your spreading rumor, stuff that you don't know anything about.

My 7.5 front is locked, got it used. I'm wheeling it for all that it's worth and the PO did too. No problems. I'll wheel it till I SAS, but I don't wheel by skinny pedal. I wheel on a regular bases. After being locked front and rear, you could not convince me to go any other route except a selectable, but at minimum an autolocker.. LSD is for towing not wheeling, in the sound like a good alternative, but unless you are geared low enough not to stall you can't brake drag. So the your front winds spinning the free unstuck wheel, like open difs.

I beleive detroit makes a front locker, but its been a while since I researched it. Remember asking questions and not doing your own research means your getting opinions, do you know what their like????

If I could do it all over again, I would have gone with ARB fr&rr. I have an elocker out back and it's great. I have a Aussie up front, but now that I am moving to the snowy north, I will swap the spider gears back in for winter.

Yes, Detroit makes a LSD for the front of our trucks. But I have heard that the toyota supra rear 7.5" diff limited slip will fit.. but im not 100% sure on that.

p.s Nito 97 - your E-locker (electric differential locker) will only engauge in 4low and only under 5mph. If you want to be able to engauge it at any time, you need to do some wire clipping
