Little update on my runner

So got my 4runner back up and going with my new engine from Oregon Engine Rebuilders. I went with the super stock one with a cam, hi flow head, oversized intake/exhaust valves, a high volume oil pump, and a higher compression ratio pistons. Also ended up putting in a new clutch kit, a new starter, and a new alternator, and a new to me ignitor/coil. Anyways the engine swap was a pita and everything fought me the entire time and I ended up replacing the starter, coil, alternator, as well because they decided to poop out as well. It's all together now and it's got 200 miles on it and I'm starting to be pretty happy with it. There's definitely more power there than stock and the motor runs great. It keeps getting better and better as the motor continues to break in. So hopefully once the engine is producing it's final hp numbers and I add on a header and intake it should be able to actually drive around the mountains at the speed limit lol.

I e-mailed them and here is the reply I got from them price was $1495 on e-bay plus shipping. As for there "as long as you own it unlimited mileage warranty" they told me general repairs can be done local and they will cover it but major repairs have to go back to them and they will do all work free you just have to cover shipping seems fair to me and a hel* of a warranty

This engine with EFI and free exhaust has 135HP. The engine is sold as an exchange for your old engine. Unless we receive your engine first, a core charge of $350 charge is assessed to insure that the core is returned. That way, we have an engine to remanufacture for the next customer. You pay shipping both ways, how-ever if you pay a core charge, the return shipping will come out of the $350 rather than having you pay it up front. With a zip code, I can give you an exact quote on shipping. John
