Nope. Limited slip does/doesn't occur in the differential. Nothing to do with the trans. Search under those terms.

The limited slip out of a Supra that you are talking about is the rear differential, not the tranny. Is your truck a two wheel drive or four wheel drive?

All transmissions are limited slip- if they slipped, you wouldn't go anywhere.
You've got me confused with the 4:10 thing though. Being on the west coast of the USA I know that this time of year, right around 4:10 pm, the pavement is really hot. Is that what you mean? A transmission that doesn't slip when it's really hot outside?
Not sure what a Supra has to do with it though....

Allow me to help you Abe.

4:10 is his rear end gear ratio.

Supras had 4.10 limited slip rear ends, with the 7.5" diff.

The transmission has nothing to do with anything.

To the op: If you have a 4x4 and you are wanting limited slip, you will have to purchase one aftermarket. The supra rear end is 7.5", and the Truck 4x4 is 8".

yeah, okay. Me, being the drama king, I like to exaggerate for effect.
And you as usual are the realist.

LOL... good advice since even you don't know what the problem is... but I do.

Coincidentally, it does have something to do with a slipping transmission.

But it would be proper to tell the OP that:

You can put a 4:10 limted slip differential from the rear end of a Supra in to a 2WD Pickup rear end.
The 'trans' has little-to-nothing to do with it.

And just so we are clear, the Supra is IRS, where the truck has a live rear axle. You can swap the guts from the supra carrier into the truck carrier, to gain limited slip.

Team Splenda, lol
