So I am buying a light bar here within the next few days. Ordered my zombie light switch and will be ordering a 30" light bar. Now I am thinking of mounting it in the lower valance where it opens up in the middle. Is that a good spot for it? Will it block any air flow to the radiator? If anyone has any other suggestions, please feel free to do so, I am not opposed to doing LED pod lights as well if that's a better idea and someone has better suggestions for mounting those.

Mine is a 2wd so it has a little different front end setup but I put a 30'' bar on my old stock front bumper. Had no cooling issues with it like this and as long as your cooling system is in good shape, you shouldn't either.
The thing with off road lights is you want them mounted as high as possible to throw more light down the way and to create less shadows on the trail. The down side to that is if you mount it too high, like above the windshield like a lot of people are doing, then you get blinded by the reflection off the hood which only gets worse if you get into someones dust.

Mounted down below will impact some air flow to your radiator but impact should be minimal if your cooling system is in good shape.

That looks awesome! I don't want to mount the light bar high because right now while replacing some suspension components and various other things, she's an onroad rig, as soon as the body lift comes off and the OME lift goes on and my new tie rods are on, I'm buying a roof basket and going to be getting some pods. So ideally the bar is for the street driving because the stock headlights are junk.

As far as airflow, my cooling system is in pretty good shape, I will be replacing my radiator Saturday as it leaks a bit, but other than that, everything else is good.

If you can swing it I would get the curved bar.

I know those LED lightbars are expensive. Aren't you worried about rocks damaging that thing?

PS - You should think about replacing that swirled license plate. That's a mess. :-)

Nope, not worried. The lenses on most (if not all) the good bars are not glass, they are polycarbonate. So it would take a big rock hit to do any real damage.
