Left cv boot

Hey, got somewhat of an easy question, could use some feedback.
Got an 89 Pickup 22RE, The left cv boot clamp is loose and leaking, the boot isn't ripped, is it worth it to repack the boot and replace the clamp? Or should I just put in a new shaft. Just put in a new right cv shaft and it's pretty simple, I'm just thinking of cost and reliability. Thanks

If you just put in a new right axle I would put a new left in to match. You can't go having mismatched axles now

Clean the joint up and check the bearings and races to make sure there's no pitting. If everything's good, repack and seal it up. Boots aren't that expensive so it may be a good idea to replace it anyways.
