Okay so this spring I need to replace my shocks and leaf springs and bushings on my 88 pickup but while I'm doing that im going to put in a 1.5 bj kit and a ifs diff drop. Since my leaf springs are darn near flat my question is what leafs springs should I get to some what keep original ride quality but leveling it out with the bj kit installed.

I have a diff drop kit for sale in the classifieds if you haven't already sourced a set. As for leveling the truck with the BJ spacers, I used Toytec add-a-leafs with the stock springs on my 4Runner and it was darn near perfect. I later switched to OME springs which sat level with the hardtop and a bit of load in the back but sat an inch or more higher in the back with the softtop and less load.

If you go with OMEs make sure you load them to break them in. Mine sat a good three inches high until i towed a trailer. Now I'm only an inch higher in back with empty truck.

diff drop is pretty much a waste of money since it doesn't drop the diff at all really, it only drops the rear two mounts, which essentially only pivots the diff and gives a worse driveshaft angle. A "real" diff drop would also drop the front crossmember mount and those only come on 4" bracket lifts. Look at BlazeN8's pics of various IFS setups where he shows limit angles etc.

for the rear OME is going to be one of the only options for the height you're going for unless you go custom leafs or taller than ~2" lift.
