i have looked at engnblrd's kits and am going to go with some of ted's stuff....im definatly going to get an oem head gasket though. im torn between
1 - replacing my blown head gasket and going with arp head bolts and a new timing cover
2 - same as above and getting a doa timing chain set
3 - completly rebuilding up my spare motor and sourcing parts from varoius companys

im scared to find any internal damage when i pull the head off, i dont want to have to do this a third time. the head gasket blew after 6000km's....i did a compression test

i hope i dont have any bend valves...when the head gasket went (i hope thats all that happened) the truck had a BAD knock and am scared to find my port and polished head messed right up. id rather spend the money and build it myself with parts that i picked. i bought the motor from a guy on CL and im definatly paying for it now

1. Ted supply's a TURBO head gasket with his kit because it's stronger then stock
2. Timing cover alway's a good idea , I used Ted's head bolt's and they work fine
3. If I remember correctly TED builds the timing kits for Dead On Arrival and he relabel's them doa.
