Just got my truck weighed.... does this sound right?

I just got my truck weighed at Bekins for moving purposes.

The lady said it was 3080 pounds. Does this sound about right?

Truck is a 89' 22re 5 speed shortbed 4wd 31's.

It doesn't have a rear bumper on and has no spare tire.

I thought it would be heavier, but I don't know anything about it!

completely empty?
If so, that seems about right.
It almost seems too low though because the registration for my '93 single cab 4wd said it weighed about 3800lbs full.

No passengers. 3/4 tank of gas.

I just checked the registration, didn't think of it before, and it says "wt/wheels 2800"

I'll bet they don't make any torque until really high rpm. The R motors make torque from down low which is nice is which is why they feel more powerful than 100-ish hp (try towing a thousand pounds with a Civic).

The only miata I have seen that was not a chick car had a supercharged 5.0 under the hood...

So I can assume my truck weighs in the 4200lb range without me in it... damn mud tires and steel wheels!

I wonder if the 3vze trucks just seem slow since they have to haul around an extra 1000lbs?

Before I redid the rear suspension, my '93 V6 4Runner weighed 4940 with me in it, full of gas, and DD stuff with me (jumper cables, etc)

Thats rediculus! No wonder so many 3vze's pop headgaskets, how the hell can 150 crank horsepower push almost 5,000lbs

It weighs more now ... wouldn't surprise me if it was over 5500 ready to wheel.

I weighed mine which is a 89 ext cab V6 auto 4wd with me in it, half a tank a gas and a cap on the back which resulted in 4300. So your figure is correct. I thought the scale I was on was incorrect but I guess not.

I weighed my stock rims with 30x9.50 M/T's and compared them to my steel soft8's with 31x10.50 and it came out to be a 9lb difference per wheel.
