interior dome light prob 88 pickup
alright guys heres the prob, my 88 interior dome light isnt working anymore, it has power to the switch, the door buzzer works and the seat belt sensor is intact and plugged in, the dome light fuse is also good, what else could there be to check

ummmm....the light bulb itself? You didn't say you checked that.
Do you mean you checked power at the door switch of the light switch? I assume you mean the light switch as you said the door buzzer works.
Is this the dome light or the map light? Either way, check the bulb, if good, check power at the bulb housing. You may have some corrosion on the metal contacts.

You should have 12v at the light all the time. It's a switched ground type of switch, which means when the housing becomes grounded, it turns on.
So this is pretty easy, if you have power to the switch...start searching where the ground is shorting out. If no power to the switch, find out why you have no power.

i did check the bulb and it is good, and yes i do mean the power was checked at the switch and inside the plug that goes into the dome light both were good, one quick question-which way does the wiring go, torwards the driver side pillar or the passeger one, and whats the easiest way to remove those plastic trim pieces that are covering the pillars
