Injectors 101 please, 3VZ

My 95 pickup has one bad injector, (I think). I know diesel injectors but have no clue on these.

What repairs, if any are possible as DIY?

Do the fuel service shops have procedures they do?

What are some costs associated with them? Used? New? Rebuilt? cleaned and tested?

Thanks, This will help me decide my approach when I go in
after the bad one.

Injectors are pretty much a "replace it if it is bad" item. I once had a BMW with an injector that did not work after sitting up for a number of years waiting on an engine rebuild. Since we were likely to have to replace it, I disconnected it and tapped 12 volts directly from a battery onto the terminals several times, hearing it click loudly. After hooking it back up, that cylinder started working just fine and has worked for many years since. If the injector is stuck from sitting up, it is something to try.

Your problem with the 3VZ is getting access to the injectors.
Pulling the intake manifold off is a lot of work, but that is the
way it goes on the 3VZ.

Here is a company that many folks here have used for injector service or replacement:

This site answered all my questions and I plan to send all six to these folks for cleaning/testing.

Many thanks
