information needed on one of a kind decals
This is the 4runner im talking about. full stock. date is march of 86. never a paint job and pretty sure these decals came on the side like they are. My dad wants to get the rust fixed and get it repainted and I was wanting the same ones put back on it if i could find it. if you have any idea to where I might can get replicas and if this really is one of a kind. I have only seen one other similar to it and it was on a similar thread.(if you cant see them i can post another of it closer)

I'm not familiar with those, and i suspect they are not a genuine Toyota decal.
Unless someone else recognizes them, my first suspicion is that's a DLX model that had white steel wheels, and was dressed up by the dealer with the hurricanes, tube steps and rear bumper, and the decals.
If you really want to enhance the value of a restoration, i recommend an authentic 86 reproduction decal from jamesdeancreations.com.
But if you definitely want your originals, it would probably be easier and cheaper to take a close photo, square on, of the door section. Upload it to your computer and clean it up nice with MSPaint yourself, or find a decent vinyl lettering guy who could do it for you.
Nice truck.

thanks tj. the steps are not stock and the bumper and the fog lights are not stock. the tube bumper wouldnt be on it unless it actually needed to be cause it was a stock step bumper but last year my dad was rear ended by a civic. it destroyed the bumper and spare tire and it totaled the civic haha. it is the base model and the wheels are stock as far as i know. it is a three owner, the guy bought it new from the lot, sold it to his son in law years later then my dadbought it about 10 years ago. i would like more of these cause they are one of a kind now and i like them cause of the 4x4 at the door. everyone does have the regular decals but we might have to go with those in the end if we put some on it. but thanks. need anymore info i can get
