Inchworm Rockstomper Motor Mounts

Has anyone ever used the Inchworm Rockstomper Motor Mounts? Whats your opinion on the quality and durability? Are they direct replacements for the stock mounts? Thanks

I didn't like the price tag, so I followed set up found on pirate's faqs. a 1/2"X3.5" grade 8 bolt. Drill a hole through both sides of motor mount put bolt through. Works great, fraction of the cost, like playing Tetris to motor back in. But another option is to use a legnth of chain to limit motor movement.

Are you running "ultimate crawler?" If not you really don't need them.

A friend of mine had vibe problems with an older set (also fitments issues IIRC). The stock mounts with a length of chain are a better option in that respect.

Im not sure what running "ultimate crawler" is? It is a very mild off road truck. Nothing fancy at all. I just notice a bit of movement/jolt with quick acceleration or deceleration. I can get stock motor mounts for $75. The inchworms are only $5 more plus shipping. Im not interested in modifying current mounts or "putting chains" on it. I want a good replacement. If you could suggest one better, please feel free to let me know. Thanks

The reason those mount are made is for the increase in torque the drivetrain experiences when really geared low, like with the ultimate crawler (two reduction boxes on geared factory 2:28 and one geared 4:70). With thest drive train changes the resulting torqoue on motor mount will rip them apart, very bad.

It sounds like yours are simply worn, if I was in your shoes I'd go with stock style mounts as its rumored the the rompstomper mounts transfer vibration to the chassis/body more. I've seen them for sale used because of this reason, someone got them and decided it wasn't practical for their needs. Good luck.

The rockstomper mounts do transfer some vibes. It'll probably drive you crazy if it's a daily driver. I only drive mine every once in a while. I have one installed on the drivers side and a brand new factory mount on the passenger side.
