Ignition problems

My truck has been acting up and I have no power when I am driving it and my mpg went way down. I read the code and it pulled a code 13. Says it could be the igniter. I am wanting to install a msd or something just cause a stock igniter is hard to come by and very expensive. Anyone have a write up on how to install an aftermarket ignition kit. Thanks in advance guys

an MSD or whatever will still need the ignitor to be functional.
unless you go to a full aftermarket ignition that can read the distributor position and send the proper signal to the ECU for injector timing.
