Ignition Coil

Hello It seems that i may need an ignition coil for my 90 sr5 2.4l 22re 4runner but i am looking online and i can't seem to find the actual coil I need. Hopefully I am talking about the right thing here. The igniter i believe is this.
http://cpwstore.carpartswholesale.co...L/A358140.html or one a little different depending on make or model, now I am looking for the plugs themselves as appose to just that. I checked lordco and they said 500 bucks for one. Is there anywhere cheaper that i could get one. Does anyone have links for me or even one they can sell me would be appreciated thanks!

nah, a replacement coil, OEM style from any local parts store, shouldn't run you more than $20-$30, if that IS all that you need

the ignitor is the black box-lke thing mounted above the round coil, and THAT'S what is going to carry a heafty price for a new replacement

You might want to check a junk yard first; they tend to not go out too often, so chances are you would pick a replacement for the same price as a new coil from the parts store, IF that is you problem in the end

what leads you to think either is bad?

the coil maybe, but I believe the ignitor from an 83 would be a bit different from one on a 90, iirc

well we checked the igniter and the distributer and spark plug and connected the igniter coil directly to the battery and it still didn't fire
