dont mean to sound like a noob but ive been searching and have decided i need to stop procrastinating and write my damn book report lolol
i was thinking about getting rid of my yota to get a wrangler which i have more experience building, but i think itll be more feasible to just build the yota...

basically, i want 35s, if the yota is ganna be too expensive/ too problematic, i know what i will need for the wrangler to get it to work (but itll be ~3000)

i know ill need a suspension lift and probably body lift, body lift id go with 4crawler, suspension idk about, would i be able to piece something together to achieve enough of a lift (bj spacers, diff drop...) i have leaf springs in my garage so the rear isnt the problem, its the ifs

i currently have 32" with 4.10s and i like how it drives better than 31s or stock, to achieve this same miles per hour/rpm ratio ill need 4.56- not a problem to find used

so all in all, what would i need to piece together to get the front lifted enough to fit 35s, i dont want anything problematic and wanna do it right, this is my DD and goes 350mi to and from college so i dont want a DD project (thats what my camaro is during the summer)

sorry for the long post but i know what i want and have the ability to do it, just a matter of when i get the time THANKS. is the 7.5 even strong enough to handle 35s??

if i was to get the wrangler, id swap out the D30, suspension lift 3-4 inches, body lift 3 inches, new driveshafts, slip yoke eliminator, and adjust pinion angles, building the yota would eliminate everything from that list exp the lifts (thats my hopes at least) and of course regear

cheapest way would probably be to bust out a sawzall and a BFH. besides that, there are some people who run 35s with a bracket lift or even just a body lift. searching would bring up lots of info with the right keywords.

whats BFH? ive tried searching this is the past and nothing came up... whats the right keywords? i basically just need to know what goes into lifted an IFS and where quality can be had cheap (4crawler for bj spacers and axle drop)

Big Fu@kin Hammer! My 98 has a 3 inch lift (spacers in the front, chevys in the rear) and my fenders are cut and beat in..I run 35's with no rubbing.

haha, i really dont want to mess up my truck, its way too clean for me to go and fu@k it all up, but what your saying is some springs in the rear and bj spacers/ axle drop in the front, my truck will drive/ be reliable as stock, and if i basically remove the fenders lol, i can fits 35s? wouldnt that small lift and a 3in body lift work then???

The first reply was all you needed. You need something to cut sheet metal & something to pound sheet metal with and you can fit 35's

ok, did some searching and found that the most reliable lift would be drop brackets as they dont effect geometry just push everything down 4 inches... what exactly are drop brackets and where do they mount?

I'm interested in this too. I'm buying a 1990 Pickup. I would be happy to fit 33's. It has 31's now. I think I'm going to go with BJ spacer, diff drop and bodylift. Then add a leafs in the back or some other leafs. I want to run 33x12.5's. Do leafs off any other trucks work and lift it at the same time? Also interested in some more info on drop brackets as well.

dude, i'm sorry but you first need to educate yourself a little bit more on how your toyota works (or 4wd vehicles in general) before you go and make the decision to go to 35s if you're asking questions like these.

thank you bend, looked at some of those before too, and in general if your ganna make some dumb @ss remark, dont bother posting, i know how 4x4 works, if you read my post you would have seen that im busy and dont have time to search.. ive built several offroad trucks, and ifs isnt my prime choice for an offroad truck, so when i say i want 35s, i want the look, ive had offroad trucks and this rarely sees anything had offroad, i just want the look on the street and the ability to wheel it when i do

On my rig now I have a BJ lift up front and some kind of strange leaf pack on the rear from the PO. With this combo I fit 33 12.5 no prob.
I am going to go for 35's for extra ground clearance while wheeling. My plan is to not do any more lift and just cut sheet metal and then use a BFH.
I'm going to fit up a friends 35's sometime soon and see how much I will have to cut to get it to work. I will let you know how it turns out. BTW I have already re geared to 4.88's and I am going to run duals.
