I think I killed 'er

I've only had her like 2 weeks. I'm stupid.

Fortunately after some long hours and waiting, this lovely gentleman showed up with a polaris 6x6 and some tow ropes, and got us out:

My truck will not start now though.

wash it all off and let it dry. if you can keep track of them, disconnect some of the plugs to the engine so they can dry without any captive water.
pull the air filter out and check the filter and tubing for any water or mud.
it will start.... have faith.

doesn't look like it got into the intake, so thats good, unless there is something we never saw. like stated, let it dry off, rinse it off then let it dry.

Most likely time to flush all fluids, diffs, tranny, trans, engine to be safe (when you get it started)

Unless you hydrolocked. Then I'm assuming you tried to start it and nothing happened. If that's the case ya you probably killed it.

Pull the plugs out and then crank it over. Make sure you have a buddy stare into one of the spark plug holes though to see if anything comes out. Change the oil and get any water out of the airbox and intake. Change the air filter.

Fire it up and start listening for it to knock. Start saving for a rebuild.

I can't say whether you are stupid or not because I haven't met you but I'm going to bet you're young. LOL!

That's kinda like diving off a cliff or a bridge. Yeah, I've done it, but only after watching someone else do it first to make sure the water's deep enough.

it doesn't look like he submerged the whole front of teh truck. And isn't the intake on the 22re's on the passenger side? so lets hop its not hydrolocked. lets do some of the tips first, rinse and let dry, take out plugs crank over, lets see what happens. report back

question, did it die when you drove in, or did you shut it off and then it wouldn't start after?

ya, you need to get out there asap. I dont know that area but if its anything like around here its not gonna last for long just sitting there. Bring a battery, new plugs and wires maybe cap and rotor, and a air filter.
Pull the plugs, put the new battery in, turn it over, install new plugs, wires (get them right, they have to go in a specific order) cap, rotor, air filter. Start it up, BABY it on the way home and immediately drain all fluids and replace with fresh. (obviously filters too)

22re intake is on driver's side. that's why I suggested pulling the air filter, etc. and checking for mud in the intake

I'll bet everything I have in my bank account right now he hydrolocked it and then tried to restart it. Seen it a million times. Ok maybe not a million, but a lot. For his sake I hope I'm wrong.
