Hub Sizes- Can you identify?

I am rebuilding some automatic hubs for my truck and was going to put some on my 4Runner too, but out of the 5 hubs I have I found out there are two different sizes. I have two that will fit my truck and the other three are too large. Check out this Photo:

www.hoopesok.com/hubs.jpg

I don't know how to link the photo.the hub on the left is the smaller spline size.

Does anyone know what these large hubs fit? There must be a vehicle with bigger CV splines than my 88 truck.

AFAIK, the only rigs that had auto hubs were IFS from 86-89, and some select SFA trucks and 4runners in 84-85. Its possible that those are SFA hubs, and that is why they won't bolt up.

Not a guru on auto hubs as I usually throw them away but if auto hubs came on SFA they would be a larger spline count, 30, and not fit IFS.

Buy some IFS manual hubs and save yourself the unneeded hassle of Auto hubs.

I got refurbished ones on the website if you are interested.

Im not a guru like you josh, But From my knowledge the were available from 79-85 SA. I could be very wrong on this, So take that with a grain of salt.

But original poster, Why auto hubs, Just so you know with auto hubs when you back up they unlock, so if you need 4wd in reverse your not in much luck.
Manual hubs ATW

Don't the auto hubs stay locked in reverse as long as the cvs are still being turned by the transfer case? I believe they only unlock while in reverse if your front driveshaft isn't turning and nothing is turning the front tires other than the drag from the truck moving.

I have an F150 with auto hubs that has no problems backing up in four wheel drive, and in theory I see no reason why the hubs would unlock unless the front driveshaft is not turning.

If your in 4wd why would the front driveshaft not be turning..?

And refer back to the quote of myself..
you say Cv's turning, But 79-85 trucks or 84-85 4runners have Solid Axles.
Trust me or not
Auto hubs are not the way to go.
I have read that statement from one of the Yota Gods himself: Rodger Brown: (AKA 4Crawler) for anyone not in the know
