How much lift with Rancho torsion bars?

So on my local CL some guy is selling Rancho torsions for 86-95 toyota 4x4's and claimed that they were ran with 2 inch blocks... Will upgraded torsion bars actually lift me 2 inches or does that mean he "ran up" the bars? I was planning on running these with 2 inch lift springs in the back (OME or NWOR) just to get a bit of lift. I'm not throwing away the idea of BJ spacers, but at $80 obo it's just that much cheaper. Anyone have knowledge on these and if they are a good setup or not?

If it's purely height you are after or you plan on running dual batteries, heavy bumper/winch combo or doing some desert runs I'd get them.

If you plan to get THAT much lift I'd go with low profile bumpstops or you'll be in for a pretty rough ride.

I had SAW torsion bars on an 89 4Runner with Deaver springs and the front was stiff as could be with just the stock set up and torsion bars.

I wouldn't advise that you use them on a stock truck and bj spacers are not much more expensive at all. I haven't ran bj spacers but I plan to. I like the idea of some lift without increased stiffness/decreased articulation.

Just my .02

Torsion bars are a PITA to swap. Period.
It will ride like a buckboard wagon too.
