I just tested my harness where it plugs into the injectors. I used a Noid tester light. It plugged into both holes on the plug ,where it connects to the injectors. I got no signal on the #2 cyl and weak signal on the #1. One of the wires on my #2 harness plug wasnt getting any signal at all. It was a wire that had came unhooked inside the wire harness about a foot behind the battery. the harness looked good. no reason for it to be detatched in the harness except the fact my 4 runner is a 1986. I reattached the wire and tested my injector plugs on the harness again. All checked out good. So i retaped my harness and put it back together. Mine is running good now, i just need to adjust my valves tomorrow. Good luck with yours!

It should be. It just makes it easy have a light that plugs directly into the harness instead of holding a test light. Denro, Where did you get you noid light?

Not to hijack.. but any ideas on how to temporarily set something up so one could monitor injector pulses from the inside of the cab for road testing?
I guess 6 lights... and a bunch of wire...? What volt/ type of lights? I am not familiar with the term "noid light". I only know of the Noid as some creature that made non-Dominoes delivered pizzas get cold during the mid 90's or something like that.
I wonder sometimes about my motors operation. I seem to get some odd power fluctuation at times. I have a guess it's a fuel pressure or delivery problem... but would like to be able to see what the spark is doing as well. Of course I'd remove it all once I knew the results from a few miles of testing.

What...? I just am curious to see if all my injectors are firing while driving.
If you don't get the Noid reference, it's just an archaic bit of info that TV slotted into the dark recesses of my mind that accidentally popped back out.
Believe it or not, it's actually kinda funny... but I am easily ammused.
