i just thought id share this did it a few weeks ago was basically a free mod. i had a bolt that was about 6 inches long and close (although a little smaller) in diameter to the shifter rod, basically i unbolted the shifter from the trans lifted it up threw the hole in the floorboard and then cut it before the bend in the shifter rod, cut the head of the bolt off and then cut it down to 3 inches the same as my body lift, witch also completely removed the threaded section of the bolt basically giving me a sold round stock. i then welded the new section it, on the bottom piece i only welded a little at a time and then quenched the metal to keep from dong any more damage than necessary to my already fubar shifter bushing. then test fitted marked the proper alignment of the shifter to where i wanted it to sit in the truck welded it and then reinstalled. it works great makes the shifter throw a little longer but brings the shifter up to where it needs to be and i am very happy with it

i just bent mine forward when i body lifted the truck. didnt bother to extend it. feels nice n sporty now
