HiLux Badge

Anyone else put these on? I found them on E-bay for $8.00

Never put them on but those are sweet, I may have to look for some, its unique in the US. Nice tires by the way, same ones I have.

Thanks, I thought so to. Someone at the seven eleven parking lot asked me if it was a real HiLux. LOL.

The '88 hilux was a diesel and I think it still had a solid front axle. My '88 us model is appearently equivelent to the '89 uk model .?

You can still get the Hilux with a gas engine, same with the Prado and Fortuner. They stopped the HILUX SFA in 1997, but have always produced one for the LC. Also the Hilux was the 2nd pick-up offerd from Toyota in the 70s in both Canada and the USA. After the Hilux the name was changed to Pick-up an the Hilux name kept exclusive for the rest of the world.

Wow, I wonder if anyone ever made a video of a Hilux . . . like a short film . . . of how tough they are . . . that'd be so cool.

Hey yeah, that would be crazy awesome... Myabe put it on a roof of a building and implode it, or even chain it down by the ocean and let the tide come in on it; and in the end, it would still run! Could you image!

I'm gunna go see if such a clip exist right now, maybe on YouTube!

I want a pair of the corner lights off of those things. Preferably the clear and black humped ones. Would look pretty good on my 85 I think.

i so though this was one of the trillion on here with a few videos of trucks going through shacks ................. but yeah i would love to get them but i dont think it would look good on a runner lol

the guy from japan that sells all those sweeeet parts couldnt give those away on yota tech a few months back was selling like 6 p[airs for 40 bucks or something.. i wanted them but didnt have cash

I garantee you the only people that inquire about it own a Toyota though, lol. No Hummer, Jeep, Dodge, or Chevy guy would ever think twice about it... They'd see it and think, "Oh look, a Toyota Hilux"... You could give the same answer above to them, lol.

No they'd see it and think: Stupid toyotas. At least that's the response I get. I had to "earn" the respect of my chevy buddies. Needless to say it wasn't hard.
