Thats a nice looking 4Runner, in my opinion i would say its worth it, it looks like it has been well taken care of. The only thing i would be sure and ask about is if the timing chain has ever been replaced, if not, and seeing how many miles are on the engine that would need to be done as soon as possible.

Not bad! I don't think I'd pay that much for a 20 year rig but the market may be different there than it is here.

The one thing I will point out is the fact that there's a 2" lift in the rear only. That means he probably had to crank the t-bars up front to get the rig level, if so it's going to ride like a brick until you back them down.

Go take a look, if you like it buy it.

The runner looks nice, but the price is high for the year, you say 285K km's? that be like 150K miles, may need new t/chain kit, and be ready to double those numbers. if you like it go for it, but try to cut the price.

Yeah that seems really high. I paid 4000 for my 94 truck last spring with 60,000 original miles and it was in really good shape. People told me I was dumb to spend $4,000 on a 94.

I'm assuming you guys have rust out there because it snows- that new paint might be covering up a lot of bondo. Take a magnet and a soft towel with you to check and definitely crawl under there and check out the underside- or better yet, put it up on a lift.

If it is really truly rust free and in good shape, offer him 3800. ( thats only if you are in love) Also are we talking USD or CAN? Not sure what conversion rate is.

Also why would he have M/T's if hes never been offroad?

Seems a little steep to me, It would be worth it if the motor is sound or had a rebuild recently, spending that kind of money and you not being a backyard toy mechanic I'd have it checked out first. Some times a vehical with a new paint job on the outside looks like poo mechanicaly, check it out first. If its in tip top shape with a few minor to-do's then its worth haggling his price a bit. Otherwise its just high priced junk.
